Beaches

The long stretch of beach by the villa is perfect for long morning or sunset strolls. In fact, you can walk all the way to Rethymno town on the beach! The beach is sand and pebble and changes the further east you travel where it begins to break into smaller bays with rock pools to explore.

To the east you can visit the resort of Bali with its 4 beach areas, with Karavakia beach being a beautiful spot and excellent for snorkelling. To the west, explore the beaches at Petres and Georgioupoli with their shallow waters. Or, head to the South coast of the island where you will discover some of Crete’s most amazing natural beaches such as “Schinaria”, “Damnoni”, “Triopetra”, “Agios Pavlos” and "Preveli". The distance to the South coast from the villa is about one hour by car and easily accessible from your villa due to its proximity to the national highway.
